ossbeat follows what is changing in open-source AI coding tools — releases, security incidents, model launches and the projects developers are starting to use — and explains it in plain language for people who do not have time to read every changelog.

How we work

• Every post links the sources it relies on, so you can check each claim yourself.
• When a number comes from the company that made the product, we say so. We separate vendor-reported figures from independent measurements.
• When sources disagree, we show the disagreement instead of picking a side.
• Posts show their date, and older news is marked as catching up.

How posts are made

Posts are drafted with the help of AI and published by the site owner. We report what the sources say. Unless a post states that we ran something ourselves, we have not tested the software it describes.

The tracker

The tracker shows stars, releases, commits and licenses for the projects we cover. The numbers are collected from the public GitHub API once a day and are not edited by hand.

Independence

We do not publish sponsored posts. If that changes, or if we add affiliate links, we will label them clearly.
